In 2004, Paul Golden, enlisting many of his longtime, trusted subcontractors, gave back to the desert community when he oversaw construction on a new home for Gilda’s Club Desert Cities an Affiliate of the Cancer Support Community.

Founded in honor of Gilda Radner, the famed comedian who succumbed to ovarian cancer in 1989, Gilda’s Clubs are special places where the focus is on living with cancer. Men, women and children with any type of cancer, as well as their family members and friends, are welcomed at Gilda’s Club, each of which features a trademark red door. There, they have a sanctuary that encourages emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care.  As well as ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. The support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events offered at Gilda’s Club are free of charge to members.
